Software Engineer - VideoAmp : Job Details

VideoAmp, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in New York, NY.Duties: Responsible for the definition, design, development and successful and timely completionof major new features in current and future products. Build application workflows (APIs andservices) for new feature development. Implement unit and integrations tests to maintainconfidence in our platform's stability. Optimize code to improve performance and scalability andreduce infrastructure costs Implement monitoring and alerting for critical workflows and services.Debug and trace issues across multiple application modules and services Collaborate with a teamof engineers to break down product requirements, identify dependencies and createimplementation plans. Build shared components and/or frameworks that improve engineeringproductivity across the organization. Mentor teammates through pair programming and detailedfeedback during code and architecture reviews. Create and maintain documentation of new andservices, tools, and frameworks. Telecommuting permitted.Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineeringor related field plus 3.5 years of experience.Must have experience with the following skills:• 3.5 years of experience with Data Engineering• 3.5 years of experience with SQL and Python.• 3.5 years of experience with ETL stream/batch pipelines on big data platforms40 hours/week, $173,000 - $208,000 per year.
