Job Title:Software Engineer IDepartment:Product EngineeringReports To:Director of Embedded Software EngineeringLocation:Santa Barbara, CAPosition Type:Full-Time, Exempt, On-site, IC1Job Summary:The Software Engineer assists with designing, developing and implementing software applications.Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.Duties/Responsibilities: -Learn and improve existing codebase. -Write and maintain code written in C/C++. -Responds to requests from the development team. -Conduct validation and verification tests. -Design and develop applications. -Documentation. -Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: -Good knowledge of languages including C/C++, Python, HTML5, and JavaScript. -Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly. -Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. -Experience with Linux and Windows. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -US Citizen or green card holder required.Education and Experience: -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. -At least 1 year of related experience required.Physical Requirements: -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
