Software engineer, fullstack - writer : Job Details

Writer is seeking an experienced fullstack software engineer to join our growing team building the future of AI-assisted, collaborative software development. In this role, you'll work on a cutting-edge low-code platform that combines full-code, no-code, and generative AI to create frontends, workflows, and backends.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building core components of our low-code UI and no-code workflow builders using Python and Vue.
• Defining and enforcing backend standards including typing, linting, testing, and organization.
• Integrating AI-powered agent tooling to support prompt-based UI and backend generation.
• Collaborating on infrastructure and dev tooling, shaping internal developer experience and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working with design and product teams on collaboration features like comments, notifications, and real-time updates.
• Contributing to both backend and frontend codebases, delivering holistic solutions.
• Integrating third-party APIs, AI providers, and logging/observability tools.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Expertise in Python (production systems, typing, testing).
• Experience with Vue.js and TypeScript or willingness to learn Vue.
• Strong understanding of web performance, frontend testing, and browser architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and AI services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and developer tooling.
• Team-oriented with a history of adopting best practices.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Bonus: experience with devtools, no-code platforms, AI interfaces, or open source contributions.
