Overview

Join the high-performance front office trading technology team at a leading investment firm, building next-generation systematic trading and risk management infrastructure. We are seeking exceptional developers to work directly with traders on proprietary trading desks, developing automated solutions for order management, execution systems, and risk infrastructure that handles substantial capital in real-time trading environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated trading systems for systematic trading desks, including order management and execution management platforms that process millions of transactions
• Develop risk management infrastructure with real-time monitoring, automated controls, and sophisticated analytics for proprietary trading operations
• Collaborate directly with traders and quantitative researchers to translate complex trading strategies into robust, scalable technology solutions
• Work primarily with Python and gain exposure to KDB for high-performance data processing and analytics
• Architect enterprise-scale systems handling massive datasets, real-time market data feeds, and low-latency execution requirements
• Develop and optimize high-performance trading platforms supporting systematic strategies across equities markets
• Build automated risk management systems with real-time monitoring and control mechanisms
• Implement order management and execution systems capable of handling complex trading workflows
• Design data pipelines and analytics infrastructure for trading performance analysis and optimization
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance in mission-critical trading environments

Qualifications

• Exceptional programming fundamentals with deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading concepts essential for high-performance financial systems
• Strong Computer Science background from top-tier academic or professional environments, with proven ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
• Programming proficiency in Python (preferred), Java, C++, or C# – with enthusiasm for working primarily in Python and openness to learning KDB
• Experience with trading systems is highly valued, including order management, execution platforms, or risk management systems
• System architecture experience with ability to design scalable, distributed systems for high-frequency, high-volume environments
• Multi-threading expertise for developing concurrent, high-performance applications handling real-time market data and trading operations
• Independent work style with strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes trading environments

Technical Environment

• Primary technologies: Python, KDB, Linux-based systems for high-performance computing
• Data management: Large-scale datasets, real-time market data feeds, historical analytics
• Integration: FIX protocol, exchange connectivity, third-party trading platforms
