Overview

As part of a small, experienced team, you will contribute to Tesla's cutting-edge Dojo Supercomputer, shaping the future of autonomous driving, Optimus, and AI. You will optimize Tesla's neural network training by developing user-space and kernel drivers for our custom-silicon supercomputer systems. Your responsibilities include building and enhancing drivers and control systems for the Dojo distributed training system.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize device drivers for seamless hardware-software interaction in the Dojo system.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the control plane, including drivers, cluster monitoring, and repair routines.
  • Collaborate with researchers and software engineers to profile applications, identify bottlenecks, and enhance hardware-software performance.
  • Work with the hardware team to understand custom silicon architecture and propose driver and hardware improvements.
  • Qualifications
    • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability.
    • Extensive experience in C++ and C programming.
    • Strong background in user-space or kernel device driver development, especially PCIe-based systems.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

    Compensation

    Expected annual salary ranges from $132,000 to $390,000, plus stock awards and benefits. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and other factors. Specific details will be provided upon offer.
