Who You Are

An IT professional with advanced skills and experience in Appian systems development, supporting Application Solutions software systems, including design and implementation of Appian workforce applications. You should have a consultative, positive, solution-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams.

What You Will Do

The Software Engineer (Programmer IV-V) performs advanced to senior-level programming work, overseeing projects, analyzing applications, and designing software solutions. Works independently with minimal supervision, may guide others, and may need to work outside regular hours for urgent issues.

General Duties

  • Develop automated systems supporting Application Solutions.
  • Design and develop Appian applications.
  • Provide 24/7 support, troubleshooting, deploying, and upgrading software.
  • Manage all SDLC phases: design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance.
  • Document issues and solutions, share knowledge, and ensure systems are operational.
  • Prioritize support requests, follow up, and ensure system functionality.
  • Assist as backup to managers and team members.
  • Contribute to departmental dashboards and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote IT excellence and effective communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IS, or related field.
  • 6+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with Appian.
  • Appian Certified Senior Developer.
  • Expertise in Appian components, RPA, AI, CI/CD, REST APIs, testing, performance tuning, cloud platforms, databases, and Java.
  • Leadership experience and ability to mentor.

You Qualify With

  • Programmer IV: 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Programmer V: 5+ years of relevant experience.
