About the Opportunity

The Dayforce Public Sector Product Development team is looking for an experienced Software Developer to create the industry's next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.

The Software Developer is responsible for designing and implementing new products and features as well as enhancing existing solutions. They will collaborate with an experienced team of Developers, Test Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role.

What you'll get to do

• Add features that are robust, reliable, and scalable for our Public Sector facing products within Dayforce.
• Contribute as a full-stack web developer to our frontend and backend.
• Leverage modern UI frameworks to build a responsive and feature-rich user experience for our users.
• Use best practices and design patterns for a highly performant backend service.
• Participate in our software lifecycle - Analyze, design, prototype, program, test, code review, troubleshoot, and support.
• Envision and deliver features by working, as part of a high-performing scrum team, with clients, prospects, implementation partners, and Dayforce personnel.
• Be a part of the agile process to estimate effort, assess risks, and define acceptance criteria when new functionality is added.

Skills and experience we value

• An optimistic, communicative, and technically competent individual who is passionate about learning new technologies and building high-quality cloud applications.
• Working knowledge of C# .NET.
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies including HTML, CSS 3, SVG, JSON, etc. from professional or academic projects.
• Working knowledge of modern relational database architecture and SQL.
• Passion for staying with the problem and solving it together as a team!
• Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently and in close collaboration within an agile development team.
• Experience of how to communicate with Rest APIs.
• Familiar with accessibility tools, scanners, and screen readers.
• Experience with Unit Testing Libraries/Frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, Jasmine, JEST, Enzyme, NUnit, React Testing Library.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and investigation skills.

What will make you really stand out

• Expertise in other modern object-oriented languages is a bonus (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
• Experience with GraphQL, Web Accessibility development, AI.
