Pay Range (All offers will be based on experience) $68,000.00 - $85,000.00/yr Position Introduction/Key Duties Cimarron is seeking a Software Asset Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. Key Duties:

  • Maintain software standards and validate product lists and maintenance contracts within the asset management database.
  • Utilize Software Asset Management (SAM) tools to identify, manage, and audit software across all enclaves.
  • Assist technical teams in the approval, deployment, updating, and removal of software products.
  • Process employee software requests through the full approval and procurement cycle.
  • Monitor and track software maintenance and support renewal schedules for task order customers.
  • Coordinate maintenance and renewal requirements from proposal through execution.
  • Collaborate with the CLAW renewal manager to develop Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Coordinate budget needs with Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Earned Value Analysts (EVAs).
  • Monitor and track Purchase Requests (PRs) for task order renewals and enterprise contract agreements.
  • Facilitate communication between the renewal manager and buyers during the procurement process.
  • Communicate procurement priorities and urgent needs to the Procurement team.
  • Support the renewal manager by responding to vendor and supplier quote inquiries.
  • Track Purchase Requests from approval through PO award and provide updates to Program Control.
  • Coordinate with requesters and buyers to ensure proper material receipt.
  • Assist buyers and the renewal manager in resolving issues related to order receipt.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • Ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate in a way that ensures information flows seamlessly, tasks are executed, and team dynamic remain strong.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • 3 or more years of experience in leadership or management positions.
  • Working knowledge of software, titles, and their capabilities within the IT industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes.
