Job Description :

The Schenectady County Problem-Solving Courts are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to provide case management and monitoring services to participants engaged in treatment court programs. The successful candidate will work closely with court staff, service providers, and justice-involved individuals to support compliance, treatment engagement, and successful program completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for a range of case management duties, including but not limited to:

  • Interviewing participants to assess needs and determine appropriate services
  • Referring participants to psychological, substance use, or counseling services as appropriate
  • Conducting psycho-social evaluations and preparing written reports
  • Monitoring participant compliance with court-ordered programs and recommending appropriate sanctions or incentives
  • Making preliminary case recommendations to the court based on participant progress
  • Tracking ongoing service needs and progress toward treatment goals
  • Preparing individuals for successful discharge and reintegration into the community

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time

experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
