Responsible for the provision of social work services to patients and their families. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Masters of Social Work degree required. - Must be a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW). - ACSW and previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Demonstrates understanding of the following:o Impact of involvement,o Personal attitude toward illness,o Handicaps,o Death and loss, on the quality of patient care and staff effectiveness. Knowledgeable of the following basic:o Medical procedures,o Terminology,o Etiology o Disease process associated with the illnesses of the client population.
