Social Worker - Emergency Department - Garnet Health Medical Center : Job Details

The Social Worker will be responsible for implementing effective treatment and discharge planning based on established Standards of Practice set forth by the NY Office of Professions and the National Association of Social Workers, and ensuring all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills policies and New York State Licensure requirements. The Social Worker will be able to exhibit critical thinking, effectively organize/prioritize accordingly, and implement evidence based care. Social Work Clinician/ Case Manager primary role is to provide psychiatric/detox emergency screening in the Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills Emergency Department. Additionally will provide case management, and discharge planning for non-psychiatric patients.
