Reports to: Manager, CoinDesk Marketing The Opportunity About the Role & Consensus Held since 2015, Consensus is the only festival showcasing and celebrating all sides of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems, and their wide-reaching effect on commerce, culture, and communities. Each year, Consensus brings tens of thousands of attendees together to hear from sought-after thought leaders and experience a wide range of discussions, meetings, parties, music performances, dinners, experiences, and much more. We're hiring a Social Media Manager (Contract) to define and execute our social media strategy for Consensus 2026 Hong Kong & Miami. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the crypto and web3 ecosystems and is deeply immersed in crypto social communities. • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and attendance for Consensus 2026 in Miami & Hong Kong.
• Manage all social media channels, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram and Facebook.
• Create and curate compelling content that resonates with our target audience, including articles, videos, infographics, and more.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create and distribute content.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
• Engage with the community by responding to comments, questions, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the crypto and web3 space.
• Coordinate with the PR and Communications team to ensure a cohesive brand message across all platforms.
• Ensure all copy adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style standards.
• Edit and proofread copy for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
• Manage the internal/external design teams to execute on the campaigns
• Deploy copy and visuals on Sprout, Typefully, or natively on the appropriate social platform once approved.

What You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in the crypto or web3 industries.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms and best practices.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in social media management tools like Sprout Social, Canva, or similar.
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.
