Job Description :
Explain procedures to the patient, collects necessary paper work, monitors and records study. Applies the international 10-20 System of Electrodes, polysomnography set-up, oximeter calibration, and set-up of ancillary equipment. Record review of polysomnograms is an integral part of the job. Reviews clinical competencies for procedures, equipment and documentation Evaluates and administered polysomnography studies with supervision, through application of international 10-20 System. Identification of sleep stages, apneic respiratory events and periodic leg movements. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent. Experience Some experience in medical field preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/ Certification Employee must obtain sleep tech II position within 12 months of hire date, and gain RPSGT within 2 years of hire.
