Key Responsibilities:
- Review requests for physical therapy and physicians' orders.
- Complete screenings in accordance with established policy.
- Interview residents to ascertain the type of treatment required and schedule therapy sessions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident assessments (MDS) and care plans, including quarterly reviews.
- Determine proper equipment usage and body positioning, adjust as necessary during treatments.
- Utilize and apply therapeutic agents such as ultrasound, TENS, and massage, as needed.
- Recommend modifications to therapy programs based on resident progress evaluations.
- Ensure all therapist notes are comprehensive and reflective of care provided as well as resident responses.
- Consult with physicians and staff as needed for optimal resident care.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical capability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a height of 3 feet and transport such weights over a distance of at least 4 feet.
