Global Medical Response (GMR) is an authorized DOD SkillBridge provider, offering military members valuable civilian medical response experience through training, internships, and on-the-job training during the last six months of service. Participants retain military pay and benefits and are not compensated by GMR.

Program details:

• Duration: up to 180 days
• Start dates aligned with company schedules

Minimum qualifications:

• Active-duty military status
• Meets DoD SkillBridge criteria
• Approval from your unit commander

Responsibilities include:

• Transporting patients safely with a team of medical experts
• Aircraft readiness and maintenance documentation
• Communication with dispatch and team members
• Maintaining certifications and ongoing training

Required qualifications:

• FAA Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter Instrument Rating
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2000 total flight hours, including specific helicopter and night hours

Post-program, successful participants may be considered for employment with competitive salaries and bonuses, though employment is not guaranteed.
