Job DetailsJob Location Big Thought Headquarters - Dallas, TX Position Type Part-Time, Seasonal Job Shift Afternoon: 2:00-6:00pm DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: SITE SPECIALISTReports to: Sr Director, Programs Department: Unified Delivery Supervision: YES Effective Date: July 2025 ABOUT THE ROLE: The Site Specialistwill lead the day-to-day operations of the assigned program sites. This role is expected to provide a safe, caring, and enriching environment for groups of youth at designated program sites. This position utilizes a growth mindset to bring all staff together while demonstrating Big Thought values that engage families, the campus, and community. Our kids come first, and we use a collaborative, all hands-on deck approach to ensure that they are served well. Pay Rate: Starting at $25 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure the safety of children at all times from the moment of arrival, through programming, up to departure.
- Have a consistent site presence outside of programming, including but not limited to: school events, school day, community meetings, PTA/PTO engagements, in-school needs, etc.
- Forge relationships with parents (both in- and out-of-program) and school faculty and staff.
- Monitor a consistent headcount of children and report as appropriate.
- Support HQ functions across different areas, potentially including hiring, student files, training support, supply purchases, lead campus team meetings, and data tracking..etc
- Incorporate best practices across out-of-school time programs and learning.
- Coordinate and manage the collection of assessment data including staff files, training records, student assessment, 6DQ, lesson plans, enrollment and attendance...etc. for continual improvement of program climate and culture.
- Assist with programmatic planning.
- Support program staff development by setting standardized and personal goals and delivering feedback
- Explore individual learner interest and broad community engagement and development through surveys, conversations with students and families, and other diagnostic means.
- Participate in monthly leadership check-ins, 6DQ training, and lead weekly goal setting/check-ins with campus staff.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required. College coursework in recreation, childdevelopment, or a related field is preferred
- Experience leading or supervising a plus
- Bi-lingual a plus
- High degree of EQ (emotional intelligence)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must consent to a background check
- Proficiency in current technology
