Site Manager - Materials Procurement (35498) - Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions : Job Details

A materials and procurement company near the Elizabethtown, KY area is looking for a Site Manager who is interested in leading their startup project at their clients' facilities. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has previous experience in warehousing management and supporting new operations.

Responsibilities for Site Manager:

• Take responsibility for project safety and conduct routine audits and incident investigations.
• Facilitate and resolve difficult situations with the client, contractors, and team members.
• Prepare installation working plan and schedule based on the projects' timelines
• Coordinate and direct logistics activities of warehousing staff.
• Complete and distribute SOPs and safety information to local staff.
• Identify risks to safety, quality, cost, and labor scheduling.
• Document safety incidents, employee claims, and serve as leader of operations.
• Coordinate training, team development, and coaching to build their technical, safety, quality, and interpersonal skill sets.

Qualifications for Site Manager:

• Associates degree (AS) or higher is preferred
• Basic computer skills including experience with MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in warehousing or logistics
• Experience with warehousing operations, including forklift operation
• Physical requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk regularly. Must be able to use hands to feel, grasp, lift, and manipulate a variety of paperwork, tools, and equipment. Must be able to see and hear with the ability to use near, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
