Job Summary:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Supervise all phases of plant operation to assure that production schedules are met and customer demand satisfied.
  • Coordinate production, maintenance, and shipping through consultation with department heads.
  • Review production, quality, and shipping reports on a daily basis.
  • Maintain daily contact with Customer Care Representatives.
  • Check product quality, production, and shipments on a routine basis.
  • Consult with Purchasing on purchase and delivery of raw materials.
  • Provide strategic direction to the operation through consultation with the Senior Director Manufacturing and President.
  • Responsible for the plant safety program and environmental objectives.
  • Plan activities with the Senior EHS/Safety Specialist and safety committee; participate in incident investigations.
  • Assist in setting safety and environmental objectives.
  • Oversee proper maintenance and housekeeping of plant facilities, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Inspect the plant regularly and review maintenance schedules with the Manager Maintenance.
  • Assist department heads with capital expenditure requests.
  • Implement and monitor operating and administrative policies; report deviations.
  • Work with Accounting and department heads on the annual budget and cost management initiatives.
  • Lead cost reduction projects and report financial results.
  • Consult on personnel matters, merit reviews, and policy interpretation.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Plan for growth through capital investments and process improvements.
  • Maintain high employee morale through effective programs.

  • Computer use, oral presentations, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing/sitting, extended hours, bending, climbing, kneeling, working in temperature extremes

Base salary range: $144,000-$198,000. Benefits and bonuses are offered based on various factors.
