Position Overview

The Site IT Head is responsible for leading Neurogene's Site IT infrastructure and operations. Reporting to the Head of IT, this role oversees the site's information systems, including networks, core infrastructure, business applications, and cloud platforms, to support business objectives and ensure operational excellence. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, the Site IT Head will shape user experience while maintaining compliant and secure IT operations, managing GxP IT, OT environments, lab infrastructure, and disaster recovery to ensure compliance, reliability, and business continuity.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Manage hybrid cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure, develop disaster recovery plans, lead strategic initiatives, and develop a technology roadmap.
• Infrastructure Management: Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of servers, storage, and network solutions; oversee backup and recovery.
• Technology & Security: Conduct regular security risk assessments, mitigate risks, and lead process improvements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (SOX/GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, PII, PHI); develop policies and serve as point of contact for audits.
• Operational Excellence: Improve IT infrastructure and processes, implement best practices in IT service and asset management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role within a regulated Life Science/Biotech environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Azure, VMWare, Cisco, ITIL/ITSM) preferred
• Knowledge of Life Science and Biotech industry, US FDA and GDPR regulations
• Experience with enterprise IT systems, identity management, cybersecurity, and ITIL/ITSM processes
• Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills

Work Environment

• Some travel, primarily to New York City
