Job Summary:

The Sit-Down Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, stack, and retrieve materials and products. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and efficient inventory management practices to ensure timely and accurate material flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operation:

· Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, unstack, load, and unload various materials, products, and equipment.

· Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to designated areas within the facility.

· Perform pre-operation inspections of the forklift (e.g., checking fluid levels, tires, controls) and report any maintenance needs or defects.

· Operate other material handling equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers).

Loading and Unloading:

· Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles efficiently and safely.

· Verify load lists, packing slips, and documentation for accuracy against received or outgoing materials.
