Job Description And Duties
Employees in the above classification who are employed by CDCR as American Sign Language Interpreters will receive an additional $2,500 per pay period on top of the monthly salary.
Sign Language Interpreters are needed to facilitate accurate, effective, and impartial communication using sign language for hearing-impaired and severely speech-impaired incarcerated persons.

Individuals eligible for a Training and Development (T&D) assignment may also be considered for this position.

Working Conditions
This position is located at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) in Corcoran, CA, accessible off Highway 43. It is conveniently located less than an hour from Lemoore Naval Air Station, about 4 hours from Yosemite National Park, 2.5 hours from Sequoia National Park, and approximately 3 hours from Pismo Beach and LAX. The area offers a low cost of living.
