SHOE/SECTION LEADER (Finance)

Manage all aspects of the Shoe department, including Profit & Loss responsibilities, seasonal sets, price integrity, and maintaining a clean, recovered, and in-stock department. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, plus at least six months of Fred Meyer experience and 1-2 years of retail experience, or relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and nights, with overtime as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Familiarity with industry terms and processes

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and structure
  • Ability to operate equipment like Symbol, ESTP, and SPA units
  • Second language proficiency
  • Model customer-first behavior and deliver excellent service
  • Ensure compliance with signing, recovery, ticketing, stockroom, merchandising, safety, and shipping standards
  • Coordinate merchandising, receive freight, perform inventory control, and verify promotional displays
  • Handle price changes, promote initiatives, and sell merchandise
  • Perform cashier functions, audits, and maintain department condition
  • Respond to customer comments and complaints
  • Identify maintenance needs and manage salvage procedures
  • Manage department operations to reflect a positive store environment
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
