Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and properly document inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in regular cycle counts.
  • Transport material between sites (East Granby and Bloomfield)
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve shipping or inventory issues.
  • Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed, following safety protocols.
  • Assist with stockroom activities such as pulling material (kitting) for Manufacturing
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to logistics and inventory management
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, or IFS preferred)
  • Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
Skills
  • Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, or barcode scanning software)
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email systems
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and material handling best practices
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical stamina to lift, move, and organize materials as needed
