Position ensures the proper unloading and loading of trucks. Cold box and Dry warehouse storage procedures.
- Duties and Responsibilities: -
- Put away product produced into Customer orders as indicated on Packaging schedule and Customer order invoices.
- Load and unload trucks as needed using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Maintain paperwork for all product orders and Ingredients or supplies received into the plant.
- Fill out proper paperwork and load sheets while putting away production items.
- Distribute supplies and ingredient receiving papers to the proper Supervisors or other DFA employees as needed.
- Distribute supplies to various areas of the production facility as needed In a safe and sanitary manner.
- Communicate with packaging department and Supervisors if orders are incorrect or need adjusting. - Maintain inventory of all product, ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Pull down orders when loading trucks from racks.
- Check to insure loads are correct and match Customer Invoices before loading trucks.
- Perform General housekeeping duties in warehouse and cold box as needed and directed.
- Interact with outside vendors, truck drivers and Customers in a professional manner.
- Follow all Dairy Farmers of America Inc. GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all Corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation standards.
- Follow all safety regulations.
- Perform other warehouse and cold box duties as required and directed.
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, M-F with rotation weekends
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to qualify and be certified as a fork lift operator, and must be able to operate a pallet jack, forklift and standup high lift forklift. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
- 1 year minimum experience in a warehouse, shipping environment.
- Able to interact with other and work in a Team environment.
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, M-F with rotational Saturdays
