As pioneers in fiber optic gyros, ring laser gyros, and MEMS technologies, we drive innovation across a wide range of navigation applications.We are currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate to support our Supply Chain Team in our Tinley Park, Illinois location. This role is onsite.Job Summary:Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against pack slips and ERP system, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Support the flow of products from final production steps to the customer in an efficient, timely, and reliable manner while ensuring the Company's regulatory and compliance documentation needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Duties:In compliance with Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly wage for this role is $23.00-$25.00/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.This position is 100% on-site and the expected work shift is Monday-Friday; 8:30 am-5:00 pm.Primary responsibility is to complete the paperwork and system entries to comply with contractual requirements of domestic and international shipments.Ensure complete accuracy within ERP system and customer document requirements.Prepare and submit compliant export documents for various types of licensed shipments and understand the use and application of exemptions for controlled export shipments.Review incoming material - count and label, complete incoming ERP transactions and move material to inspection or stock as required.Support subcontractor and supplier parts return shipments.Support product packing to meet contractual requirements.Communicate with various levels of the internal organization and customers to coordinate shipments and advise of delivery delays.Assist with material transactions.Support resolution of inventory discrepancies.Support inventory control department as needed.This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in thisposition may be asked to perform from time to time. Emcore reserves the right to revise or changejob duties and responsibilities as the need arises.Minimum Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Desired Skills:Must have shipping experience in international and/or military shipping role.Experience with UPS, Fed-X and DHL preferred.Ability to organize, with attention to detail and accuracy.Working Knowledge:Must be able to work independently and as a high-performance team member.Advanced use of Microsoft Systems including Outlook, Excel and Word.Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25-30 pounds.*As a federal contractor, we are required to have all candidates/employees pass a criminal background check and a multi-panel drug screening, prior to starting employment.*ITAR REQUIREMENTS: Separate from employment eligibility (Form I-9), U.S. export license requirements may apply before the Company can provide certain non- U.S. persons with access to specific technology, software and hardware that may be necessary for a position.
