Shipping Freezer - Smithfield Foods : Job Details

Drives electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or remove products, equipment, or materials. Prepare records of shipments and bills of lading for outbound trucks. Prepares records of receipt of incoming material, chemicals, and equipment and update database. Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and computer data and verifying receiving receipts with open POs. Core Responsibilities. Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment. Updates shipping database. Notified supervisor or Quality Assurance department when any discrepancies occur (e.g. Truck temperatures, meat age, etc.) in accordance with SOPs, HACCP, Company procedures, etc. On shipping materials, checks and counts all items unloaded from trucks or trailers. Up-date computer. Weighs materials or products and records weight on correct forms as stated in our SOPs.
