Shipping Dock Worker/Forklift Operator

The Shipping Dock Worker/Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments in a safe and timely manner. This role also assists with monthly cycle counts, documents all shipments and receipts, and promptly reports any discrepancies. The position requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends as needed, and to fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
  • Operate forklifts safely and perform required preventive maintenance
  • Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production or Yard Supervisor
  • Maintain and improve job skills through company training programs
  • Assist with Preventive Maintenance program as required
  • Conduct visual product quality inspections
  • Accurately and efficiently load outbound shipments and unload inbound shipments
  • Document all shipments and receipts, reporting discrepancies promptly
  • Assist with monthly cycle counts (last Saturday of each month)
  • Process customer shipments, including UPS shipments
  • Continuously expand knowledge of products and procedures
  • Follow all instructions from the Shipping Manager
  • Demonstrate and uphold ADS Core Values

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience
