Shipping Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our global logistics team. This role will coordinate the full cycle of international shipmentsensuring compliance with all global trade regulations and supporting the timely and efficient delivery of critical life science products to our global customers. This position is based in St. Louis at 2425 South Second Street.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end international shipping process for outbound and inbound shipments
- Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations, including customs documentation, incoterms, export controls, and hazardous goods handling
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Sales, Regulatory, Warehouse) to address and resolve shipment issues
- Partner with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain shipment records and ensure accurate entry of documentation in internal systems (e.g., SAP)
- Monitor daily logistics performance metrics and provide insights or recommendations for operational improvements
- Maintain a strong safety culture by following all regulatory and company safety protocols and promoting safe practices within logistics operations
- Assist in internal or external audits and support reporting activities
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in domestic, international planning, logistic coordination or trade compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in supply chain, Business, or International Trade
- 13 years of experience specifically in SAP modules related to logistics, shipping, or order processing
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals
- Familiarity with IATA, IMDG, DOT, and hazardous materials shipping regulations
- Certification in International Trade or Logistics (e.g., CITT, IATA, APICS)
- Work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, global environment
- Working knowledge of international trade regulations, documentation, and incoterms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
