Shipping and Receiving - Frederick - Digging & Rigging : Job Details

Under direct supervision, coordinates, verifies, and records incoming merchandise and/or materials that come to the yard. The employee will assure that products/materials are loaded in a safe manner for transport/securement while following all Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and regulations while adhering to regulations identified by State agencies to allow for proper permitting and lawful transport. Additionally, the employee will provide support to customers with shipping and storage inquiries. Examples of Duties and Responsibilities. Operates forklifts and pallet jacks used in loading and unloading products/materials. Will also operate passenger vehicles. Runs a power washer and lawn maintenance equipment occasionally. Inspects equipment that includes structures and/or materials, finds causes and errors, along with other problems or defects.
