JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator executes and coordinates shipping and receiving tasks, including receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, products, and equipment, under the direction of the Shipping Manager. They maintain accurate records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and coordinate with stakeholders to support smooth workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives incoming shipments and deliveries, verifying accuracy against shipping documents.
- Inspects received items for damage or discrepancies and reports issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments using computer software or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Properly labels and packages items for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.
- Utilizes appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Loads or supervises loading of outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transportation vehicles, as directed by the Shipping Manager.
- Unloads or supervises unloading of incoming trucks and stores products in designated locations.
- Coordinates with vendors, customers, other departments, and shipping companies to execute pick-ups, resolve discrepancies, and provide order status updates as assigned.
- Implements tasks and schedules as directed by the Shipping Manager.
- May assist in training Shipping and Receiving Clerks on WMS and shipping protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide by 10s using American weight measurements and volume.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Able to pass the Forklift and Crane Certification provided by the Company.
- Able to use common hand tools.
- Has computer proficiency to use Shipping and Inventory software.
- Has strong organizational skills to manage the shipping processes efficiently.
- Ability to follow managerial directives and prioritize tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience working in shipping departments.
