Job Description The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator performs administrative duties related to the packing, shipment, and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. This position is responsible for providing timely service to ForTec employees regarding order processing. Primary Responsibilities: Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment. Assemble and fill boxes or packages for shipping with protective packing materials. Select shipping method and size to determine best packaging options and shipping cost. Oversee the ordering and receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts and visual quality, and complete transactions in the appropriate business system. Receive and process orders from internal business locations. Unpack, sort, and place materials or items on racks, shelves, and bins. Document damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Process return goods. Monitor and achieve inventory control through accurate receipt, storage, shipment, and data entry. Conduct routine physical inventory counts and reconcile variances. Operate hand truck, and/or pallet jack, and other equipment to safely move items to proper locations. Qualifications Requirements: High school diploma/GED required Excellent customer service skills, and organizational & time management skills to meet shipping deadlines Experienced in a high-volume, multi-tasking warehouse role Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent numerical and data handling skills with great accuracy Proven successful communication skills Ability to pass a criminal background check Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely. This position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment, as well as hand manipulations when utilizing hand tools.
