Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Type: Contract (W2)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 2/27/2026 (with potential for extension)
Location: Temecula, CA (onsite role)
Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (1st shift hours but must be flexible for occasional on-call support and/or varied schedule needs)
Compensation: $19 to $22 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and process customer orders.
- Prepare customer order processing, shipment data entry, and packaging documents.
- Perform quality check to ensure package contents fulfill customer order documentation.
- Assemble, pack, and seal shipping materials and crates.
- Coordinate package loading, shipping, and delivery.
- Receive and perform quality check inspection of incoming materials.
- Coordinate materials receiving, supply, and movement: including stock identification, loading and unloading, storage, and transfer.
- Label new inventory items, identify warehouse bin location.
- Perform and assist in inventory control activities, including physical and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
- Maintain neat, clean, and orderly warehouse and storage operations.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant vocational training or certifications a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a similar logistics role
- Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, and basic data entry
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret packing lists, order forms, and shipping documents
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
- Basic understanding of safety and compliance protocols related to warehouse and shipping operations
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including availability for occasional on-call support
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
