Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe operation of the production areas in accordance with safety basis requirements and interface with support organizations including fire protection, PSS office, health, safety, environmental, and criticality safety.
  • Troubleshoot various operational issues, abnormal conditions, anomalies, and out-of-specification products.
  • Determine causes of operational issues, develop guidelines for data gathering, provide recommendations, and oversee corrective actions and modifications.
  • Evaluate proposed process equipment documentation against approved safety basis and process unreviewed safety question determinations.
  • Perform technical assessments of operations related to safety basis and facility operation.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports regarding operations to plant management, The Nuclear Security Administration, and other external organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree plus 0-4 years of direct experience required, or MS with 0-3 years' experience.
  • Applicants without a BA or BS degree will be considered on a two (2) to one (1) basis; two years' experience counts as one year of education or relevant task-specific experience deemed acceptable by the client.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance badge.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in a technical discipline, plus 18+ years of direct experience required, or MS with 15+ years of experience.
