The Shift Leader will ensure that clients receive quality services from staff.
- Responsible for the day-to-day planning/organizing and assigning of daily living activities for the clients who reside in the Supervised/Supported Living Programs.
- Supervises assigned staff to ensure quality of work meets compliance standards.
- Supervises assigned staff while staff are working with clients on ADLs; and/or recreational activities.
- Provides structure, discipline, and security in meeting the needs of the clients.
- Coordinate activities as assigned on the program schedule.
- Capable of being on call for emergency transportation.
- Participates in the patient's daily planning routine.
- Provides structure, discipline, and security in meeting the needs of the client.
- Serves as a role model and source of feedback to the client.
- Intervenes in crisis situations using the approved Mandt system.
- Reports to work at scheduled times and remains on duty until released by the charge nurse.
- Daily maintain cleanliness of the facility and client's rooms and chores.
- Documents each significant observation in each client file.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures, attends to any individual who becomes ill.
- Mentors the client in developing relationships between employer, workers, and other community resources.
- Follows training guidelines of regulatory agencies.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state, and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients' rights are protected.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
- High School diploma (and/or GED), certificate, or degree.
- First Aid/CPR

- Prefer two years' experience working with individuals who are developmentally disabled and/or conduct disordered and/or mentally handicapped.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a drug screen, MVR, MS State Background Check and Child Abuse and Neglect
- Central Registry Clearance Check; pass a physical examination & TB Skin Test
- Lifting Requirements of 50 lbs.
- Valid Mississippi Driver's License and Clear Driving Record.
