Insomnia Cookies is super hyped about our newest NYC store and we are actively interviewing Shift Leader candidates this week for our Fordham Univ. store located at 377 E Fordham Rd Bronx, NY 10458.

As a Shift Leader, you are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. Your hands-on leadership style should include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers. It also means taking pride in knowing that your leadership as an Insomniac contributes to a productive and fun night for your store!

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to all guests

• Support store operations during your shift, communicate pertinent information, monitor production efficiency, hold team members accountable, and assist in training and coaching

• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the Cookie Crew

• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew

• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to food safety practices

• Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of customer service experience

• Point of Sale systems experience

• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

• Outgoing, friendly, and patient

• Detail-oriented and results-driven

• Able to lead by example and motivate others

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.

• Must be 18 or older
