Sheriff's Technician - County of San Benito California : Job Details

Definition:Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and technical duties in all divisions of the San Benito County Sheriff's Office to include the booking, processing and monitoring of inmates in support of Correctional Officers; to respond to information requests from the public; to process warrants; to issue and maintain records for the electronic monitoring and work alternative programs; to perform general office support assignments; to schedule court appearances; to monitor security and process visitors; supervise out of custody or in custody inmates performing selected work details; to enter crime reports into a records management system; maintain crime index and coroner case files; respond to information requests from the public, process warrants; perform a variety of specialized clerical work with the civil division of the Sheriff's Office; to receive civil process and issue various documents related to civil process; and to do related work as required.
