SEWAGE PLANT OPERATOR - County of Nassau New York : Job Details

Operates machinery and equipment at a sewage and sludge treatment and disposal plant; performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Must be met on or before the closing date:Training and Experience. Education and experience qualifications as prescribed by the New York State Sanitary Code for work in a specifically designated sewage treatment plantand. Approval by the Department of Environmental Conservation that a laboratory proficiency examination has been satisfactorily passed. Necessary Special Requirement. At the time of appointment, possession of an appropriate grade sewage plant operator's certificate issued by the Commissioner of Environmental Conservation.
