About the opportunity

The Services Technical Consultant role is aligned to a North American Eastern Standard Time and requires a night shift in the Philippines. The role's primary responsibility is to capture the business requirements from both the customer and the 3rd party vendor, document the requirements, and work with a development resource to create the code that will generate primarily a flat file of data. The normal cycle is discovery, configuration (by dev resource), testing, production deployment, and monitoring of the export for two production runs. Other key duties include the management of customers' expectations related to the scope of work, additions to the scope of work, project efforts, timeline, or duration of the project, and managing expectations on deliverables of the customer and vendor along with other dependencies.

This role does NOT develop code.

Work is primarily related to new changes to existing export(s) or the building of net new export(s).

Work is generated by customers that have completed the implementation cycle and are in production.

What you'll get to do

  • Engage with a customer/vendor to understand the client's requirements for an integration and assess the effort and duration required to satisfy the requirements against an automated quote generated at initiation.
  • Document and validate customer's integration requirements using a standard template for the developer to create the code for the export file.
  • Partner with other implementation consultants in WFM, Payroll, or Benefits to configure the Dayforce application to meet customer's integration requirements if necessary.
  • Work directly with the developer in testing the export file and perform quality reviews to confirm the export's contents and format meet the vendor's requirements.
  • Work directly with the customer to perform day in the life (DIL) test cases to ensure that the output on the file meets the vendor's and customers' requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine file failures as determined by either the vendor or customer.
  • Provide customers with updates to effort and duration if the scope of the work package is changing.
  • Follow up with customers/vendors or internal partners to drive closure of the work package.

Skills and experience we value

  • North American domain knowledge in benefits, payroll, human resources, and workforce management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years working in the integration field.
  • Excellent English, written and spoken.

  • Technical skills requirements such as XML, 834, fixed format, or SQL.
  • Ability to read and understand a technical specification document to build integrations.
  • Ability to analyze and determine root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience working with North American clients and vendors.
  • Ability to form great customer relationships.
  • Ability to consult customers on business needs.
  • Ability to engage with multiple projects & customers simultaneously and manage priorities.
