Job Purpose:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Discovery & Integration Specialist to lead the implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Graph Connectors. This individual will support the seamless migration of data sources related to end-user devices into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring full integration with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity and automation within our CMDB and reports directly to the Director of IT Asset & Configuration Management.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Graph Connectors across enterprise environments.
- Develop secure and scalable integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow IntegrationHub ETL.
- Oversee the implementation of ServiceNow's Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) for effective data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with HAM/SAM teams to ensure alignment of Discovery data with asset lifecycle and compliance requirements.
- Configure and manage MID Servers, including schedule optimization, credential setup, and endpoint configuration.
- Execute custom scripting and automation using JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python to enhance Discovery and integration processes.
- Provide strategic leadership in the migration and transformation of CMDB data for end-user devices.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to ensure integrations support IT operations and compliance standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for internal stakeholders.
- Offer subject matter expertise on ServiceNow platform best practices, integration troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and integrations in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Deep technical understanding of ServiceNow data models, MID Server architecture, and Service Graph Connectors.
- Proven experience integrating Discovery results into Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM) processes.
- Advanced scripting skills using JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery certification (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with integration of ServiceNow with MS Intune, SCCM, JAMF, and BigFix.
- Experience with ServiceNow ACC-V.
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks related to network and asset management.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware asset lifecycle management, model normalization, and compliance tracking.
- Project leadership experience involving cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven customer-centric approach with the ability to assess needs and influence technical direction.
