Developer For Servicenow

The Developer for ServiceNow will be responsible for configuring, administering, and scripting the ServiceNow platform. This role will work with the TDS leadership to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the Stanford Health Care enterprise seeking to use ServiceNow.

What You Will Do

The Developer will:

  • Configure/customize the ServiceNow platform, including creating workflows, flow designers, business rules, and client scripts
  • Build service requests from customer requirements including requests, request items, and tasks using workflows to manage data flows from the customer to the support teams providing the service
  • Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to create scripts to automate rote tasks being done in ServiceNow
  • Create requirements definitions and technical specifications documentation
  • Perform integrations and process automation using ServiceNow and other key SHC systems
  • Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems
  • Analyze and fully understand user requirements and current procedures in order to improve system capabilities, automate process workflows, and address scheduling limitations throughout the development and delivery of the ServiceNow roadmap
  • Have a basic understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes
Education Qualifications

The Developer will have:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electronics Technology, IT Management, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience Qualifications

The Developer will have:

  • One (1) year of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • ServiceNow Admin and Developer certification preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The Developer will:

  • Have knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP
  • Have knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes
  • Have knowledge of integrating with internal and external applications and systems
  • Have knowledge of cross-browser and platform compatibility requirements including IE rendering issues
  • Have knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS, and good web design practices
  • Effectively communicate within the team
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Successfully design, develop, and support web-based applications and websites
  • Interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Demands and Work Conditions

Blood Borne Pathogens: Category II - Tasks that involve NO exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require performing unplanned Category I tasks.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $59.21 - $78.43 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
