Service Technician (Rotating Shift) - NOV : Job Details

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES* Proper selection and combination of foundations, pumps, and related equipment for specific jobs.* Knowledge of tubing hook-ups to spools and reels, hydraulic hook-ups to reels and foundations.* Ability to identify and communicate problems with reels, equipment, and spools.* Operate and maintain all testing equipment associated with visual and dimensional inspection (Mic's).* Complete all report forms for quality assurance shipping and receiving as required.* Make minor repairs to equipment, hose fittings, counters, rollers, etc.* Proper execution of all procedures that pertain to used tubing and waste fluid.* Proper execution of all tube cutting procedures and use of cutting torch equipment.* Qualified/trained for forklift ground guide, crane rigging, and qualified to operate forklift up to 70,000 lbs.* Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.* Maintain a clean and organized work area, utilize safe work habits.* Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.* 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.* Experience with power tools and hand tools is preferred.* Forklift experience considered an asset.JOB REQUIREMENTS* Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.* Must be willing and able to work any overtime as required.* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.* Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.* Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.* Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.* Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.* Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.* Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.* Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.COMPETITIVE BENEFITS (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)* 401(k) Retirement Plan - NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.* Competitive medical plans that cover your entire family (yourself, eligible spouse, and eligible children) as of your first date of hire for as little as $142 per pay period (bi-weekly.)* FREE preventative medical and dental care for the entire family (when enrolled in an NOV medical/dental plan and seeing an in-network physician).* FREE Basic Life and AD&D insurance (for full-time employees).* All regular full-time employees start with 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (prorated based on start date).* All regular full-time employees receive up to 11 paid holidays per year.
