We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team at our branch office. Summary:

The Field Service Technician will work on-site at customer locations to repair compressed air issues including air compressors, blowers and vacuum pumps. Strong mechanical background desired with the ability to properly diagnose and solve problems on a variety of compressor systems, some electrical experience helpful. This person should have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work closely with customers to resolve issues in a timely manner, exceeding customer expectations and increasing overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel within assigned branch territories to service customer sites; occasional overnight stays and overtime may be required.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial air compressors, blowers, pumps, and related equipment across multiple brands.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve compressed air issues and ensure the job meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Provide recommendations on equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compressor technology; continuously develop mechanical and diagnostic skills to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and demonstrate the ability to assemble and disassemble compressors to fully understand and resolve repair issues.
  • Understand and adhere to all company and site-specific safety procedures and policies.
  • Effectively utilize available resources or contact appropriate individuals when assistance is needed to complete service calls.
  • Complete job-related documentation using basic computer skills.
  • Display professionalism while operating a company-provided work van and wearing uniforms.
  • Participate in on-site and manufacturer-supported training programs.
  • Willing to go the “extra mile” to exceed customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical background with 1–3 years of experience in service repair (automotive, industrial machinery, etc.).
  • Experience as a field service technician is a plus.
  • Background or training in compressed air systems is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude including basic electrical knowledge.
  • Prior refrigeration service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure or time constraints.
  • Willingness to work in industrial and shop environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of managing tasks independently.
  • Experience with brands such as Atlas Copco, Sul lair, Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Joy, Champion, or Gardner Denver is highly desirable.
  • Must possess and maintain a set of basic mechanical tools.
  • Strong safety record and customer-focused work ethic.
