Service Technician - Corrigan Oil Company : Job Details

Accepting applications until: September 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM ESTLocation: Brighton, MI 48116Position DescriptionJob Overview:The primary function of the Petroleum Service Technician is to service existing fuel dispensers, POS systems and underground submersible systems. This is a full-time position reporting to the Petroleum Compliance and Service Manager.Primary Job Duties:* Troubleshoot and repair petroleum dispensing systems.* Provide technical support in the field.* Communicate with customers and provide good customer service.* Perform repairs and software upgrades on existing POS systems.* Perform service calls on an after-hours basis.* Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations.* Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.* Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.* Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.* Follow written and verbal instructions.* Available to be on-call 24/7 if applicable.* Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; able to push and pull 75 pounds. Able to climb a ladder.* Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.* Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.* Demonstrate professionalism, be courteous and always be friendly to customers and co-workers.* Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous meetings.* Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as Employee Handbook policies.* Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications / Experience / Education:* Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with petroleum storage, service, and distribution systems.* Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face-to-face.* Good interpersonal skills.* Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.* Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year criminal background check.Additional InformationCorrigan - Who We Are:Corrigan is an equal employment opportunity employer with a dedication to customer satisfaction and quality that is second to none.
