Job #: 2840268 Apex Systems is currently hiring for Service Desk Specialist with a top defense technology firm. Hours: 10 hour shifts, M, T, W, Fr OR M, T, Th, Fr, (7:30 AM - 6 PM EST) Project Details / Mission Supported: • You will be supporting mission-focused technology solutions supporting the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. You will specialize in delivering secure communications, advanced IT services and full-spectrum systems engineering to enable critical military and government operations. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:• Provides first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems. Includes both customer telephone support as well as electronically submitted requests.• Attempts to resolve as many incidents during the first contact, or at Tier I. Efficiently escalates incidents to higher Tier II or Tier III when required.• Documents incident status and solutions in incident database tools.• Possesses current working knowledge of computers, printers, laptops, and common windows applications.• Works through various types of Tier II issues with telephone assist.• Provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions or solutions to common problems as part of a customer self-help capability.• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support.• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications. Skills / Experience:• Perform STIGs & IAVA implementation for system devices, perform imaging of systems, CERP replacement, etc. • Interact with customers on a daily basis to provide guidance on procedures concerning account requests, e-mail, home directories, file access/storage, and other local procedures as required to ensure mission success. • Perform Level I/II Active Directory functions such as unlocking accounts, creating and issuing accounts, etc. Education / Experience Requirements:Must meet one of the below labor categories to qualify:• HS Diploma & 9+ years of IT experience • A.S. Degree & 7+ years of IT experience• B.S. Degree & 5+ years of IT experience • M.S. Degree & 3+ years of IT experience Location: Fayetteville, NC (100% onsite)Clearance Level: TS/SCI Salary/Pay range: $31.70/hr. plus $4.93/hr.
