As a Service Desk Specialist l, you will provide company personnel with a single point of contact for timely logging, reporting and resolution of hardware and software problems experienced by customers. Your role will include solving routine hardware and software problems, maintaining reporting databases, and working with network administrators.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as initial contact, answering telephone calls from customers, logging and maintaining database for all Help Desk reported hardware and software problems.
- Resolve routine hardware (pcs, laptops, printers, phones, etc.) related issues. Log and & report in a timely manner.
- Resolve routine client software related issues. Log and & report in a timely manner.
- Escalate problem to Network Administrator level if warranted. Brief the Network Administrator with initial problem determination information.
- Monitor problem log database daily/weekly/monthly and review with manager reported items that remain outstanding beyond established timeframes.
- Perform desktop hardware/software set up and quality assurance verification prior to release to customer.
- Perform desktop software installs/updates/verification including security related patches.
- Monitor specified systems for proper operation
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or work experience in lieu of degree.
- 1-2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
- Knowledge of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of MAC and iOS devices.
- Intune and Azure experience but not required.
