The responsibilities of a Service Advisor/Manager include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. They may also set up loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled.

Service Advisor/ Manager Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly, check in vehicles properly

  • Obtain customer and vehicle information

  • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer, warranty, recalls, rental vehicles

  • Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle

  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts, communication, Up sell and look up recommendations.

  • Establish follow up time

  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently, survey, walk around vehicles

  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a must!

  • Ability to identify the problem quickly, assists customers effectively.

  • Knowledge of automobiles helpful but not required.

  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

  • Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service Manager

  • Very energetic personality

  • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

  • Personal and professional integrity

  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs

  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in service department

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude

  • High school diploma or equivalent
