Responsibilities:

• Create and execute effective SEO plans to boost organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
• Collaborate with go-to-market teams to align SEO strategies with overarching business goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for SEO consultants, enhancing plans to improve search engine performance.
• Develop an all-encompassing SEO strategy for Cengage Group Marketing, considering all business unit websites.
• Work closely with social and paid media teams to ensure synchronized marketing efforts.
• Guide content teams in implementing keyword strategies and create training materials for effective execution.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical SEO issues to optimize site performance.
• Monitor and analyze SEO metrics, adjusting strategies based on competitive insights, traffic, and conversion data.
• Regularly report and provide recommendations to stakeholders regarding SEO campaign performance.
• Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to maintain our competitive edge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading SEO in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient with essential SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong analytic skills to derive actionable insights from data.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for explaining SEO strategies.

Preferred:

• Relevant SEO certifications.
• Experience with Google Ads and agency settings.
