Job Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a passionate Principal Software Engineer to support the Sentinel Program, based in Roy, Utah, or Huntsville, Alabama. This full-time position involves software development across multiple lifecycle phases, emphasizing design, development, and testing.

Responsibilities

Participate in software design, development, and testing.

Apply best practices in software design and CI/CD processes.

Work within an Agile development environment.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance obtained within the last 6 years.
• Successful screening for Enhanced Security Clearances.
• Educational requirements: 5 years with a Bachelor's degree, 3 years with a Master's, 1 year with a PhD, or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in hardware-software integration and C++ software development.
• Programming and scripting in UNIX environments (C++, Python, Bash).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD workflows (GitLab, Nexus, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with Containers, CMake, and Agile tools.
• Experience with multi-domain networks and security certifications like Security+.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $95,300 - $158,000, with potential overtime, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, educational assistance, paid time off, and more. The standard work schedule is a 9/80.
