Position Description:

The Sr Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) supports the underwriting process for New and Renewal Customers for Primary and Excess Casualty lines of insurance coverage. This role collaborates with Operations and Underwriting team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and producer/client management goals for an assigned book of business. Responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and interpreting account information for renewal creation and appropriate rating, providing issuance instructions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The Sr UAR assists with binding, renewal, and post-bind coordination of Casualty business and maintains proper documentation of the underwriting file.

Position specifics include locations in Alpharetta, GA, and Boston, MA. Key responsibilities involve reviewing coverage, assessing risks, understanding financial and actuarial fundamentals, and managing communications and systems used in daily operations.

Major duties include reviewing binders, creating detailed issuance instructions, auditing variable rating accounts, handling correspondence, and maintaining service standards.

Qualifications:

• College Degree Preferred
• 3-5 years of insurance experience
• 3-5 years of underwriting support experience
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Basic insurance terminology knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Organizational and attention to detail skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
