Senior Transformation Director - Contract

My Global Insurance Client is looking for a Senior Transformation Director to lead a large-scale Finance & Data Transformation programme. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex transformation initiatives, driving efficiency, and enhancing data-driven decision-making. The individual will be responsible for developing and communicating a clear vision for the programme, ensuring that all transformation initiatives are aligned with the clients financial objects.

Responsibilities:

The role requires a strong focus on governance, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Programme Director will monitor and report on programme progress, ensuring that milestones are met and benefits are realised. They will also manage the programme budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control, while identifying and driving opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

• Ownership and management of strategic roadmap to achieve delivery
• Manage in-year and multi year programme budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive programme plan, including objectives, scope, measures, targets, and a detailed roadmap.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple transformation projects within the programme.
• Engage with senior executives, including Board of Directors and Executive Committee, to gather feedback, steer decisions, and manage expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, finance leaders, and external partners.
• Drive the transformation of finance and data functions, focusing on process automation, system integration, and organisational realignment to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in leading large-scale transformation programmes. Must have clear experience with Finance Transformation, preferably with extensive related data domain experience.
• In-depth knowledge of finance systems, including ERP systems (e.g., General Ledger, Technical and Non-Technical Sub-Ledger, Consolidation modules) and their implementation.
• Proven track record of delivering complex programmes, as close to initial time and budget expectations as possible..
• Experience in engaging with senior executives and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Understanding of finance processes such as accounts payable, expense management, project accounting, statutory and regulatory accounting, and reporting.
• Familiarity with process automation and the ability to drive efficiency through the use of strategic finance ERP systems
• Expertise in data management and governance, including the establishment of a data platform to enable efficient data processing and delivery.
